A Badly Injured Mama Dog with 6 Newborn Puppies

Updated: Aug 14

Sweet Juliet was found living under a trailer with her days old pups and what we thought was a simple leg injury. Sadly, it is so much worse. Juliet has multiple breaks in her leg along with a broken pelvis. If that wasn't enough, she is heartworm positive, anemic, riddled with multiple parasites and absolutely covered in fleas. Even with all these things stacked against her, she is the sweetest mama, not only with her babies but with everyone she meets. She has already become a favorite at Palm Valley Veterinary Center.

We are so thankful that Baker County Animal Control reached out for help when they received her. As soon as we heard about her, we knew we had to help. A huge thank you to Joan Sosin for immediately offering to transport and to Rosario Arteaga and her family for offering to foster, and to Michelle Spurgeon Foster for assisting! We could never do this without the help of all of our amazing volunteers!
