We had a devastating day yesterday when Gabriel, the puppy surrendered to the ER vet, passed away a few hours later. Dr. Mizesko and Dr. Knight both said 'presumptive parvo' even though the test was negative. Knowing there were others in the litter still in danger was heartbreaking and nervewracking.

Today we picked up two of his littermates, after the person who had them agreed to turn them over to us. These two pups are also emaciated and they've received no vet care up until now. They’re loaded with parasites, we assume they also have Coccidia, and we are worried about exposure to Parvo, even though they're not symptomatic right now.

Thanks to Aimee and Ben Thackara for fostering them, they're inside in a warm house getting spoiled. Thank you Jessica Cromer and Susan Merrill for helping put this plan together, and to Erin Kupcha and Michelle Foster, who also offered to foster.

They've had their first dose of dewormer, and we've got an appointment to get them to the vet tomorrow. Please keep these little ones in your prayers.
