Please welcome India, a sweet senior dog who had a very rough life. She was found running the streets of Nassau, Bahamas with a chain attached to her, and very weak back legs. She was skinny and in rough shape when BAARK! found her. She is 7 years old, and has some arthritis from what their vet believes is an old wound. With no orthopedic specialists in the Bahamas, their treatment options there were limited, so we agreed to take her into FUR.
India needs a calm loving home to live out her golden years. She is amazing with kids and humans in general. She is dog friendly with a slow introduction, and she would do best with chill, easygoing dogs. India is full of smiles and would bring so much love and appreciation to any home! She is very affectionate, and despite her weak legs, she’s getting around.
Dr. Mack diagnosed her with a strained (not torn) CCL, and Spondylosis of the spine. We’ve got her on antiinflammatory medications and joint supplements, and we’ll get her to physical therapy next.
