It's hard to understand why people do what they do, but this is just inexplicable. Kobe is a Pomeranian who was thrown over the 8 foot high fence at the Bradford County Shelter after hours. We can only assume they didn't want to pay the modest surrender fee, so instead they risked giving him permanent injuries to save a few bucks.
By dumping him instead of surrendering him, we don't know his real name, his medical history, his prior vetting (if any) or anything about him. This goes beyond selfishness. This is just another type of cruelty.
Kobe weighs 18 lbs, we think he's about 5-6 years old, and as sweet as can be. He had extremely matted hair, and he clearly had a rough time for a while. Despite that, he's potty trained, and seems to have lived in a home before. Thanks to Pat Kyser fostering him, we were able to take Kobe into FUR. He's now out of the shelter and getting spoiled in his foster home.
