Pugsley Makes a Jail Break

It’s really bad when a rural shelter is completely full, and several dogs are on “the list.” Even worse, dogs keep coming in faster than we can get them out.

When a trusted foster offered to take Pugsley, we were excited. Tina Zehren fostered some of our “Pop Star Puppies” previously, and she offered to foster Pugsley. Valerie Losego and Susan Jones worked on a plan, and Gavin Dunn offered to transport.

Bridget Sullivan, the ACO, stayed late after a long day working hard to get other dogs out, and we’re happy to say this sweet boy is safe! Pugsley wasn’t ‘urgent’ yet, but getting him out opened another kennel and bought time for another dog. Gavin brought Pugsley to his new foster home, where he's settling in and learning to be part of the family for the first time in his life.

Pugsley is a big puppy, about 8-10 months old, and very dog and people friendly. He’s very affectionate, loves to play with other dogs (and people!), and think he’d be good with everyone, including kids. Thank you Tina, Gavin, Valerie, Susan, Bridget and everyone else who helped him. Welcome to FUR, sweet boy!
